A very short trip report from Northern India. High mountains, a mountain tribe with such generosity. Traditional skills and distant thunder storms at night lighting up the valleys. I visited Delhi, Kasol and Mcleod Ganj. Firstly the quality of the food was amazing everywhere I went but certainly more in the north. Learning how the mountain locals made fire using a giant pine cone was very interesting and perhaps the trip highlight for me. Above all learning about local skills is a fascinating process. So it wasnt long before we were all sat around the camp fire.
Subsequently all my dreams came true about visiting India. Especially
in Himachal Pradesh it seemed all like a dream.
Above all it was a touching moment comparing fire lighting skills with
a fellow outdoorsman across the world.
More to follow.
